This season hasn't been kind to the Bonita Springs Bullsharks, who are still winless after their 14th contest. They had to suffer through a rough 70-18 loss at the hands of Lemon Bay. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bonita Springs has scored all season.
Cooper Benedict was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 19 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Caleb Whitmore was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Bonita Springs' defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-14. As for Lemon Bay, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-7.
Bonita Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Community School of Naples at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. As for Lemon Bay, they will be playing at home against North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Port presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lemon Bay in Florida (North Port is ranked 194th, while Lemon Bay is ranked 507th).
