Atlantic Christian is 0-8 against Jupiter Christian since February of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Sharks will face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Atlantic Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Lake Worth Christian. 13 seems to be a good number for the Sharks as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Landon Moffitt tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Micah Herring was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adon Herring, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Atlantic Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Jupiter Christian got the win against Berean Christian on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-2. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.
Carter Scott looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Troy Spano, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Jupiter Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't). Sean Lehnhoff was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Atlantic Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Jupiter Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Atlantic Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Jupiter Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Atlantic Christian might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Jupiter Christian when the teams last played back in February. Can the Sharks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
