Tri-Central has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Taylor Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Tri-Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday.
Tri-Central pushed their score all the way to 60, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-60 to Carroll. Tri-Central has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Drake Ramseyer, who scored 18 points along with two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Patz, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Taylor unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Clinton Prairie by a score of 42-40.
Like Tri-Central, Taylor lost despite seeing results from several players. Javionne Harris led the charge by scoring 11 points along with six rebounds. Connor Binnion was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists.
Tri-Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Taylor, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.
Things could have been worse for Tri-Central, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-55 loss to the Titans when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Tri-Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
