The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in November of 2024.
 Despite the  loss, Oak Grove had strong showings from  Kellen Hall, who threw for 307 yards and three  TDs, and  KJ Roberts, who picked up 120 receiving yards and three  touchdowns.
The  defeat was their first  at home , dropping their record down to 4-3. As for Petal, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming  contests. Oak Grove will challenge Meridian at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.67  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Petal, they will square off against Brandon at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
