Dakota is 9-1 against Romeo since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Dakota is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Dakota will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against Utica Ford on Monday. The Cougars never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dakota got a great performance from Brooke Cahill as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Cahill has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kiley Phelan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Brooke Gaffke was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Romeo entered their tilt with Anchor Bay on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They skirted past the Tars 7-5. Seven seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Katie Murphy tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sarah Jesperson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maegan Myers, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
Romeo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
Romeo pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Dakota, their record is now 16-5.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dakota has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .457. However, it's not like Romeo struggles in that department as they've averaged .431. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Dakota's way against Romeo in their previous matchup back in April, as Dakota made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
