Despite the loss, De Anza saw an underclassman step up: Ahmari Otis scored 24 points. Otis scored a full 37.5% of De Anza's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacari Madison, who scored 12 points.
De Anza has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Pittsburg, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
