Southeast has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Encampment Tigers at 11:30 a.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Southeast scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Burns as Southeast made off with a 66-40 victory. That 66-40 margin sets a new team best for Southeast this season.
It was another big night for Ayden Desmond, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Shimic, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and seven assists.
Meanwhile, Encampment entered their tilt with North Park with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Encampment came out on top against North Park by a score of 51-39 on Tuesday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Encampment has scored all season.
The win got Southeast back to even at 2-2. As for Encampment, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
Everything came up roses for Southeast against Encampment in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 61-27 win. With Southeast ahead 44-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
