Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyren Smith, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. Smith has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last 15 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Powery, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Thales Academy Apex's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Purvis, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. Purvis has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last nine times he's played. Luke Railo was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists.
Thales Academy Apex struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill pulled down 16 offensive rebounds.

As for Thales Academy Apex, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. One thing working in Grace Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
