After two weeks on the road, Waukomis is heading back home. On Thursday they take on Ringwood at 7:00 PM. Waukomis will be looking to avenge the 18-63 loss they took the last time these two teams played.
Last Friday, Waukomis came up short against Cherokee, falling 22-32. Waukomis's defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Devin Wagner, who rushed for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with ten tackles Wagner was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at halftime, but Ringwood weren't quite Pioneer-Pleasant Vale's equal in the second half when they met. Ringwood have to be aching after a bruising 0-30 loss to Pioneer-Pleasant Vale. The state rankings had actually given Ringwood a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Waukomis took a serious blow against Ringwood the last time the two teams met, falling 18-63. Can Waukomis avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
