The Hightstown Rams fell victim to the Clearview Pioneers''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Pioneers, falling 28-0. Hightstown's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it six in a row.
Obrian Brown went supernova for Clearview, rushing for 260 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Hightstown's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-1 Seneca and 7-2 Hopewell Valley Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 64% over those games). As for Clearview, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Hightstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clearview will play host again and welcome Brick Township, where Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brick Township is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
