The Bishop Feehan Shamrocks will take on the Taunton Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bishop Feehan 3, Taunton 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bishop Feehan's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Cardinal Spellman. The result was nothing new for the Shamrocks, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Ayden Mello, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Cardinal Spellman off the board. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Mello.
On the hitting side, Colin McEwan was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Nolan Harvey, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Bishop Feehan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cardinal Spellman only posted a batting average of .125.
Meanwhile, Taunton fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Durfee on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Johnny Escobalez spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Taunton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Dorr, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Dorr has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Bishop Feehan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Taunton, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bishop Feehan has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Taunton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Bishop Feehan beat Taunton 5-2 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Shamrocks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
