The All S Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. All S is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, All S was beaten by Liberty Christian 42-13. While losing is never fun, All S can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while Liberty Christian is ranked 29th).
Although All S took the loss, they still got scores from Qumonte Williams and Kelden Ryan.
Even if they lost, All S's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Liberty Christian's QB was sacked 4.5 times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Hunter Tatarerich and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Fort Worth Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southwest Christian School.
Despite the defeat, Fort Worth Christian had strong showings from Luke Dodd, who threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns, and Kade Kropholler, who picked up 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The losses dropped All S to 6-2 and Fort Worth Christian to 4-5.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: All S has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 197.9 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Fort Worth Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 57.8 per game. How will Fort Worth Christian fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for All S against Fort Worth Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 35-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for All S since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
