Softball Recap: Napavine Wins Going Away Against Onalaska

Napavine made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Onalaska, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Napavine Tigers blew past the Onalaska Loggers 13-7 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Dakota Lyons and Hannah Fay were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Lyons tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Fay struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). At bat, Lyons scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Fay scored a run while going 4-for-5.

In other batting news, Napavine let Taylen Evander and Makayla Brett run wild. Evander went 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Brett scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Pancake, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.

Napavine now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Napavine will square off against Adna at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Onalaska, they will face off against Mossyrock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
