The Alpaugh Buffalos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Shandon 63-22 at home. That 41 points margin sets a new team best for Alpaugh this season.
Alpaugh's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luis Lopez, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Lopez grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Alcazar, who scored five points along with five assists and five rebounds.
The victory was the third in a row for Alpaugh, bringing their record for this year to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Shandon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Alpaugh will be playing in front of their home fans against Kings Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kings Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 15 games. As for Shandon, they will head out on the road to challenge Coast Union at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coast Union is on a five-game streak of home losses, Shandon an eight-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
