Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Janiah Norman and Syriah Hogan Lead Lincoln County to Victory

On FridayTowns County kept up with Lincoln County until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Everything went the Lincoln County Red Devils' way against the Towns County Indians as the Lincoln County Red Devils made off with a 62-39 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Red Devils who have now won three games in a row.

Leading Lincoln County to victory were Syriah Hogan and Janiah Norman. Hogan dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 19 rebounds, and ten assists, while Norman went 17 of 32 on her way to 38 points. Those 19 boards gave Hogan a new career-high.

Lincoln County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in nine consecutive matchups.

Lincoln County's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Towns County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Lincoln County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on January 11, 2025. As for Towns County, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hayesville at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
