It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hobbs Eagles can now relate to. They were dealt a 45-0 defeat at the hands of Cleveland on Friday. Hobbs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Cleveland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karter Weddle, who picked up 65 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Harris Mbueha and his 99 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Cleveland's win.
Hobbs' loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cleveland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Hobbs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cleveland will head out on the road to face off against Rio Rancho at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rio Rancho is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
