Yorkville dropped their record down to 24-13 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Oswego Panthers by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-1 loss back in May.

As for Oswego, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 34-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.

For Oswego's part, Jaelynn Anthony spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 12 Ks. Anthony has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Oswego's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Gengler, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

As of now, neither Yorkville nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
