The Wooster Generals won the last time they faced the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets, and things went their way on Friday too. Wooster walked away with a 58-49 victory over Mt. Vernon. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wooster.
Brady Bowen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Wooster's points. Anthony Carmean was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Wooster's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wooster will take on Madison Comprehensive at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison Comprehensive is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Mt. Vernon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ashland at 7:30 p.m.
