The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trenton in their matchups with Tom Bean: they've now lost four in a row.
Tom Bean was led to victory by Samantha Lind and Allie Hickman. Lind scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Hickman dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Taylor Vick was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Trenton's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.3 points per game. As for Tom Bean, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
Trenton will take on Celeste at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Celeste focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Friday. As for Tom Bean, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wolfe City at 6:45 p.m. Wolfe City and Tom Bean are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
