Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Crossroads Christian walked away with it. They walked away with  a   49-39  win over the Lawrence Academy Warriors  on Saturday. Given the Colts' advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 197th, while the Warriors are ranked 449th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crossroads Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Nik Brown, who  posted seven  points and eight  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Chris Bell, who  earned eight points and five  boards.
 Crossroads Christian  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 16  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence Academy only pulled down eight  offensive boards.
 Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Ben Woodard, who  dropped  a double-double with 12  points and ten  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nike Wiggins, who  had nine points in addition to seven  assists and six  boards.

The  victory was  the third in a row for Crossroads Christian, bringing their record for this year to 18-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Lawrence Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.
 Looking ahead, Crossroads Christian will take on New Garden Friends in a tournament  on Tuesday. New Garden Friends is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4  points per game  this season. Lawrence Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
