Spring River Valley recap Nov. 7, 2012
Miller extended the longest winning streak in Spring River Valley this week by beating Lockwood, 39-6. The victory was the 12th in a row for the Cardinals.
Miller took down the Tigers 39-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Dustin Baldwin 's team's Dalton Gulick and Chris Collins have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gulick has thrown for 1659 yards this season, while Collins, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 25 catches for 442 yards. Pierce City's Cedric O'Hara leads the league in rushing yards with 1359.
The Cardinals' Derrick Estell needs only 54 yards against Valle Catholic next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 72 carries Estell has accumulated 946 yard this year.
Miller made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,562 from 8,021. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 39-6 victory over Lockwood last week.
