Softball Recap: Windham Has No Trouble Against Putnam

Windham lost to Putnam back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Whippets blew past the Clippers 7-1. Considering the Whippets have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Windham has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Putnam, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record.

Coming up, Windham will square off against Wheeler at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Putnam, they will take on Ledyard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Clippers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colonels have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season.
