Softball Recap: Flat Rock Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Flat Rock unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lincoln Railsplitters by a score of 10-9.

Sarah Giroux made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off three home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Mack, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Flat Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

While Flat Rock had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
