North Central AA Top Player Performances of the Week

Gannon Jacobson Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Southeast of Saline's Gannon Jacobson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jacobson rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns. His longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory for Southeast of Saline keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Jacobson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Hillsboro on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Nickolas Kendall Leads Republic County over Herington
Republic County was led to victory by Nickolas Kendall, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Kendall rushed for 83 yards, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Republic County's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. Kendall and Republic County will be playing in front of their home fans against Remington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ellsworth Gets a Boost from Johnson in 14-6 Win
Landin Johnson's big game helped extend Ellsworth's winning streak to five on Friday. Johnson did his part (and then some), rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 111 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Johnson and Ellsworth will challenge Halstead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson will face off against Joey Millspaugh, the Dragons' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Kash Henke Dazzles in Republic County Win
Another Republic County player making an appearance on this list is Kash Henke. He rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 120 yards and a touchdown.
This year, Henke has thrown 2 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 35.6 passing yards per game.

Dom Matteucci Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Dom Matteucci of Sacred Heart. Matteucci picked up 59 receiving yards.
Sacred Heart dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Matteucci and Sacred Heart will square off against Bennington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
