It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Chopticon ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the McDonough Rams 55-53. The Braves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chopticon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mekenzie Ganley, who posted 17 points. Ganley is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Hutson, who scored nine points.

Chopticon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for McDonough, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Chopticon has already played their next game (against Thomas Stone), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. McDonough will face off against Patuxent at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. McDonough is facing Patuxent at the right time seeing as Patuxent is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
