The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Twiggs Academy in their matchups with John Hancock Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Twiggs Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Josh Nobles. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with nine rebounds. That was a full 78.8% of Twiggs Academy's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Dupree, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Twiggs Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for John Hancock Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Twiggs Academy will take on Windsor Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Windsor Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Twiggs Academy likes a good challenge. As for John Hancock Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Twiggs Academy at 7:30 p.m.
