The Immokalee Indians came into Thursday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 25-21 W over Dunbar on Thursday. The win was just what Immokalee needed coming off of a 64-38 loss in their prior matchup.
Dunbar's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carmen Johnson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 11 times she's played.
Immokalee's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Dunbar, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17.
Immokalee will take on the Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dunbar, they will square off against the Gators at TBD on Monday.
