Even though The Inglemoor Vikings scored an imposing 39 points on Friday, the Newport - Bellevue Knights still came out on top. Newport - Bellevue had just enough and edged Inglemoor out 41-39. That's another feather in the cap for Newport - Bellevue, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Newport - Bellevue got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Julius Leapai out in front who rushed for 94 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Oliver, who threw for 260 yards and two touchdowns.
Newport - Bellevue's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Inglemoor, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport - Bellevue's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Redmond at 7:00 p.m. on November 2nd. Hopefully Redmond focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up four on Friday. As for Inglemoor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cascade at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Cascade is ranked 173rd, while Inglemoor is ranked 149th).
