The Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They suffered a tough 47-21 defeat at the hands of Maury. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Booker T. Washington has suffered against Maury since January 12, 2018.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maury to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nyla Brown, who scored 13 points. Arianna Owens was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Booker T. Washington's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.4 points per game. As for Maury, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Booker T. Washington will take on Norcom at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Norcom has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
