The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Connersville in their matchups with Pendleton Heights: they've now lost nine in a row.
Connersville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hailey Sembach, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahniyah Bennett, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Connersville's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Pendleton Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Connersville will look to defend their home court on Thursday against East Central at 7:30 p.m. As for Pendleton Heights, they will head out on the road to square off against North Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
