The Emmanuel Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of Kinston by a score of 31-28. Emmanuel Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Logan McNiel and Hank Johnson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. McNiel scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while Johnson scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Emmanuel Christian dropped their record down to 6-16 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Kinston, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-23.
Emmanuel Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Kinston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
