On Saturday, the Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders faced the Temple Christian Tigers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hillsboro Christian Academy was beaten by Temple Christian 62-35. Hillsboro Christian Academy's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Hillsboro Christian Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryson Willey, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hayden Tong, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Hillsboro Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Temple Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillsboro Christian Academy will square off against Adams County Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Temple Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Calvary Christian at 3:30 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Calvary Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
