Burroughs is 10-0 against Hoover since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Burroughs Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hoover Tornados at 6:45 p.m. Hopefully Burroughs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
Burroughs' recent rough patch got a bit rougher after their third straight loss. Their tough 75-54 loss to Crescenta Valley might stick with them for a while. Burroughs has struggled against Crescenta Valley recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Chase Kardosh, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jagger Topp, who scored 12 points.
Even though Hoover has not done well against Muir recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Hoover managed a 54-49 victory over Muir. The victory was just what Hoover needed coming off of a 72-42 loss in their prior contest.
Burroughs has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Hoover, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
Burroughs beat Hoover 63-54 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Does Burroughs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hoover turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
