Wingfield was out to avenge their 0-49 defeat to Laurel from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Wingfield took a serious blow against Laurel on Thursday, falling 6-49.
Wingfield are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-8. The win bumped Laurel's record up to 4-3.
Wingfield will be playing at home against Forest Hill at at 7:00 PM next week. Forest Hill are limping into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Laurel, they will face off against West Jones. Backed by six consecutive blowout victories, West Jones are looking for someone to give them a challenge; hopefully Laurel will step up.
