The Tolleson Wolverines will head out to take on the Verrado Vipers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Tolleson came out on top against Valley Vista on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fourth inning. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Monsoon with a sharp 18-3 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Wolverines sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Tolleson got a great performance from Milleana Lara as she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, Lara posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March.
Tolleson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Verrado never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Youngker as they made off with an 18-0 win. The Vipers haven't had any issues with the Roughriders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Verrado let Boogie Stell and Faith Grabau run wild. Stell went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Grabau went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Grabau is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Barnes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double.
Tolleson's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Verrado, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Tolleson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. However, it's not like Verrado struggles in that department as they've averaged .491. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tolleson couldn't quite finish off Verrado when the teams last played back in March of 2025 and fell 6-4. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
