For the second straight game, Downers Grove North will face off against Lyons. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Downers Grove North is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Downers Grove North managed to slip by Lyons the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans lost 11-4 to the Lions on Tuesday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lou Ratcliffe, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Lyons' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Downers Grove North, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-6.

Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Downers Grove North hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Lyons struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
