4A District 1 recap Sept. 26, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Woodward, who took down 88th ranked Piedmont, 28-7.
Anadarko's RJ Sink rumbled for the longest rushing play in 4A District 1 this season in his game against Cache last week. Sink's team bested the Bulldogs as he sprinted for 69 yards on the play and finished with 194 in all.
Anadarko's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Pollard threw for 75 yards and Mykel Shaw had 26 yards receiving. Brayden Alexander helped Anadarko's passing attack out by catching two balls for 21 yards.
Anadarko's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Galen Satoe has thrown for 115 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Alexander has six catches for 73 yards. Traymayne Wauahdooah leads the league in rushing with 391 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Kent Jackson's team takes on Elk City. At the moment, the Warriors are in first, while the Elks are in sixth.
The Boomers were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to third in 4A District 1. Earlier in the week, Woodward triumphed over the Wildcats 28-7.
