Magdalena waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Zuni Thunderbirds 15-5. The Steers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thunderbirds, too.

The team relied heavily on Javen Tafoya, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Herschbach, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Magdalena was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

Magdalena's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Zuni, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Magdalena didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 win against Grady on the 14th. As for Zuni, they will challenge Thoreau at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
