After a string of four wins, the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost to Christian Family Academy at home by a decisive 67-50 margin. While losing is never fun, Pinnacle Classical Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Christian Family Academy is ranked 121st).
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cody Humphries, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was Humphries' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Evan Bridges was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 10 rebounds.
Pinnacle Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Christian Family Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
Pinnacle Classical Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Nebo Crossing Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th. Christian Family Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Challenger at 6:45 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Challenger focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Monday.
