Grace Davis took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They managed a 19-14 win over the Hilmar Yellowjackets. The victory was familiar territory for the Spartans who have now won four matchups in a row dating back to last season.
A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Caleb Zaragoza and his top target Johan Chaney. Zaragoza threw for 124 yards and three touchdowns while Chaney picked up 81 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Although Hilmar took the loss, they still got scores from Nathan Ayala and Tanner Westmoreland.
