The Farragut Admirals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Independence. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Independence's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tosh Alberga led the charge by scoring 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 blocks. Alberga hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Jasper, who scored 14 points along with 5 assists.
Farragut's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Independence, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farragut will take on Sevier County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Independence, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Charlotte Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Charlotte Catholic will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
