If the Olmsted Owls were feeling good off their 69-49 takedown of the Cardinal O'Hara Hawks last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Olmsted took a 73-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Park School of Buffalo on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
The Park School of Buffalo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Singleteary led the charge by scoring 22 points. Another player making a difference was Willy Kibowa Jr, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Olmsted's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for The Park School of Buffalo, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olmsted will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Western New York Maritime Charter at 6:30 p.m. on December 18th. As for The Park School of Buffalo, they will be playing at home against Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
