Basketball Recap: Altoona-Midway Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Altoona-Midway won the last time they faced Southern Coffey County, and William Stackhouse did his part to make sure it happened again. The Altoona-Midway Jets simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Southern Coffey County Titans 49-19 thanks in part to Stackhouse, who almost dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 11 boards, and nine steals. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Altoona-Midway has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Southern Coffey County, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Altoona-Midway has already played their next matchup (against Crest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southern Coffey County will take on Marmaton Valley on Tuesday. Marmaton Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
