The Port Byron Panthers will square off against the Pulaski Blue Devils at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Port Byron is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6  runs per game  this season.
Port Byron fought the good fight in their extra-innings  contest against Sandy Creek  on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell  6-3 to the Comets. The loss was the Panthers' first of the season.
 Jenna Jump spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Luciana Debois was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.  Bethany Jump was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  run and one  double.
 Meanwhile, Pulaski had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out Weedsport  7-6 on April 3rd. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  victory against them.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Port Byron  fell to 6-1. As for Pulaski, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Everything went Port Byron's way against Pulaski in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024, as Port Byron made off with  a  9-1 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success,  or do  the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
