Kendrick is a perfect 3-0 against Kamiah since August of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Kubs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Kendrick has 11 wins dating back to last season, while Kamiah has five).
Kendrick is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Potlatch, who was ranked eighth at the time (Kendrick was ranked first). The Tigers claimed a resounding 68-0 victory over the Loggers. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Kendrick had a senior duo take command as Tanner Clemenhagen rushed for 171 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries and Ralli Roetcisoender gained 173 total yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Orion Stewart, who rushed for 76 yards and one TD.
Kendrick was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 449 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Potlatch only rushed for 51.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kamiah). They took their game last Friday with ease, bagging a 54-0 win over Clearwater Valley. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Kubs just coasted through the last quarter.
Kamiah's win came from a few key players Kendrick will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lawson Landmark, who threw for 220 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 81 yards and one score on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Kamiah's leading receiver Todd Roberts was Landmark's top target yet again, picking up 134 receiving yards and three TDs.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Kamiah's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Rylan Skinner and Dillon Lockart, who racked up four sacks between them.
Kendrick's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Kamiah, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Everything came up roses for Kendrick against Kamiah in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 58-14 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Kubs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
