The Manor Mustangs will face off against the Churchland Truckers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Manor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Manor will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Booker T. Washington on Tuesday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 20-4 margin over the Mighty Bookers.

Kara Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off only one hit. Williams was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tiesha Cross, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with eight stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those eight stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Laura DeJesus, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Churchland entered their tilt with Maury on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Commodores.
Autumn Thompson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Churchland saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rori Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Mahogany Trotter was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Manor has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Churchland, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Manor has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .532. However, it's not like Churchland struggles in that department as they've averaged .471. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Manor might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Churchland in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Mustangs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
