Make it four blowout wins for the Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Greenwood Mennonite 52-24 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Chestertown Christian Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.
Chestertown Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was John Stoltzfus out in front who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Stoltzfus has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Nathan Frain was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Greenwood Mennonite saw an underclassman step up: Carter Long scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Greenwood Mennonite smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chestertown Christian Academy only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Chestertown Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Greenwood Mennonite, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chestertown Christian Academy will square off against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Fairwinds Christian is ranked 54th in Delaware, while the Patriots are ranked 36th in Maryland). As for Greenwood Mennonite, they will head out on the road to face off against the at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Calvary Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Thursday.
