Riverside is 10-0 against Palmer since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Riverside Chargers will get right back to it and host the Palmer Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Riverside will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
On Thursday, Riverside earned a 48-39 victory over Arcadia/Loup City.
Riverside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Larry Diessner, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Carraher, who scored ten points.
Palmer suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 last Tuesday. They were dealt a 61-20 defeat at the hands of Burwell. Palmer has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Palmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Everything came up roses for Riverside against Palmer in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 77-7 victory. With Riverside ahead 41-2 at the half, the match was all but over already.
