The Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers will venture away from home to take on the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Kettle Moraine Lutheran has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Wisconsin Lutheran will come in with seven straight victories.
On Saturday, Kettle Moraine Lutheran came up short against Cedarburg and fell 11-8.

Makenzie Luehring was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Brooklyn Bartelt was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin Lutheran got the win against Beaver Dam on Saturday by a conclusive 12-3. Considering the Vikings have won 14 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Sydney Vitangcol and Sidney Schroeder made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Vitangcol kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Schroeder struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. At the plate, Vitangcol went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run, while Schroeder went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most RBI Vitangcol has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Haag, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Grudzielanek, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Wisconsin Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matches.
Wisconsin Lutheran pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Both Kettle Moraine Lutheran and Wisconsin Lutheran just can't seem to miss. The Chargers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. However, it's not like Wisconsin Lutheran struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Kettle Moraine Lutheran couldn't quite get it done against Wisconsin Lutheran when the teams last played back in April of 2023 as they fell 5-0. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
