Last Friday, Washington beat the Colts 62-53. The victory was just what Washington needed coming off of a 71-45 loss in their prior matchup.
Washington had a senior duo take command as Shaniece Powell scored 19 points and Danaya Pope scored 20 points. Pope hasn't dropped below 16 points for nine straight games. Chloe Cleare was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Scarborough's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against North Forest, falling 58-21.
Washington is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Scarborough, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
